Easter Sunday thoughts...

Sunday, March 23, 2008

Today has been a really good Sunday for me. I felt alot of things I'd been having a hard time feeling for a while. The Holy Ghost was pretty strong around me today. I'm really glad, I don't mind being a sappy today. Church was really powerful, and then as I'm sitting here doing my homework tonight, I listened to a Rascal Flatts song called "He ain't the leavin kind". It's so true. Here's the lyrics from the part talking about God.

She stayed mad at him for a lot of years
For takin' her husband
Started losin' her faith
And thinkin' that her life meant nothin'
But when she looks at those kids she raised all by herself
She knows she had some help, yeah
She knows

Chorus:
He ain't the leavin' kind
He'd never walk away
Even from those who don't believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain't the leavin' kind

No matter what you do
No matter where you go
He's always right there with you
Even from those who don't belive
And wanna leave him behind
He ain't the leavin' kind

I really liked this song... I've had it on my computer for 2 years now and have never really listened to it before. I hope your Easter was as good as mine!

Some updates.

Here's some of what's going on lately.

Last saturday March 15, me, Shauny's friend Dani, and her future sister-in-law gave Shauny a bridal shower. It was really fun. Dani recorded Darron (the fiance) answering a bunch of questions, and if Shauny got them wrong, she had to chew some gum. Her mouth got pretty full! But I'll cut her some slack, she was nervous, and they were weird questions that most people don't know. For example: "What song reminds Darron of you?" That's a tough one! I've never asked a guy I was dating that question. I was really glad we had the turnout we did since it was during spring break and I was worried no one would show. We didn't have a ton of younger girls, but there were about 20 people there anyway. After the shower Shauny's mom took us to get pedicures. That was SO sweet of her! I absolutely LOVE pedicures. Her mom is such a nice lady.

(**The picture is of Shauny and me sitting on her princess throne at the shower.**)

I'm so excited for their wedding in San Diego. Thanks for getting married in my favorite city! Now I get to spend some time there at the end of April. I'm going to be staying with Shauny in San Clemente before they get married. I'm so excited. I'm going to miss her all Summer while her and Darron are in Florida selling. I think I'm going to have to make a trip to Miami. Oh darn... that will be rough! hahaha.

What else is new? I'm currently making some exciting plans for my future. I can't wait to put them in action. None of that will happen unless it all falls into place so we'll see! I'm just excited for the possibilities! It's so nice when you realize you still have the freedom to make any choices you want.

Last thing... I want to buy a bike. Anyone who has information on what kind, and where to go to get one, please please pass it my way. It would be much appreciated!

SHERMAN!

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

This post is dedicated to the Sherminator. My cat at home named Sherman. He ran away right after Christmas and never returned! He was the coolest cat on the block! Anyway, he was going to come live with me once I lived somewhere that I could have a pet. And I'm going to miss him!

Oh well... guess the Sherminator found a better home!

A dictionary word.

pa·tience /ˈpeɪʃəns/ Pronunciation[pey-shuhns] –noun
1. the quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.
2. an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay: to have patience with a slow learner.
3. quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence: to work with patience.

This has been the overall theme of my life for the past year. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO BE PATIENT? :o)

On a lighter note, Shauny's bridal shower is this weekend. It's gonna be fun... I can't wait for her wedding in San Diego. That city feels like home to me for some reason... can't wait to visit it again! Plus, 2 of my really good friends fell in love with each other and are getting hitched! Talk about a great time!

Some simple math....

Thursday, March 6, 2008

Ok here's an equation for you. Let me see if you can understand. I made it simple because, well, let's face it, I'm not a mathematician. I'm taking Stats right now... so I hope you can make sense of this equation.

PRETTY GIRL + STATS HOMEWORK = ?

Ok... now for the answer.....

DEATH!

What I want....

I'm copying Alia, and putting on here what I really want to own!
First off is a private beach bungalow wherever the water looks like this!

A baby grand piano. Preferrably dark and shiny!

And then last but not least, this new car.

I know, they're all really cool.... right? I want them so bad!
