Thoughts from today...

I think flies are able to regenerate from dead flies. Sick.
I need to hire a professional to give me daily massages.
What should my next life goal be? I tackled college, I need a new one.
Naps in my car at lunch are definitely worth being teased about.
I despise folding clothes.
Do you think anyone would notice if I fled the country for 2 months and set up a temporary home in Fiji?
I think I need a bike.
I really need a piano.
I also need pepper spray.
The sun is almost down and it's 3:51 pm. Never get used to that part of winter.
Should I really go out with that 21 year old?
I am so ridiculously addicted to Army Wives. It's not even funny... wait, yes it is. I'm addicted to a Lifetime network tv show. THAT IS FUNNY!
I miss my grandparents. Nieces. Mom. Family. Thanksgiving needs to come NOW!
To gym, or not to gym? That is my neverending battle.
Do you think I could somehow order a mass punching in the face for New Yorkers?

Here's his newest video, probably one of the cutest love songs. It makes me wanna dance. It's called "Haven't Met You Yet."
Also, this is my favorite song of his... Everything. Favorite lyrics ever, "I get to kiss you baby just because I can!"
Enjoy, because I DID!
I love this. For obvious reasons, if you know me.

Mom's hands.
Abandoned house in Parowan
Cedar Breaks... it was very windy and cold.
What else have I been up to? WELL... I BOUGHT A NEW CAR A MONTH AGO!!! A super nice 2008 Mazda 3 Hatchback. It's got the works too. It's super fast, and it's so dark charcoal it looks black. Probably my most favorite thing ever! I LOVE DRIVING IT!!! I just hate the payments. Oh well.... I needed a new one anyway.
Other news... it was 81 degrees yesterday, and today it is 45 degrees. I think Utah is crazy!
BUGS, BUGS, BUGS!!!

I took these spider pictures today. Don't ask me why, I hate spiders with a passion of a thousand phobias. But the pictures turned out AWESOME! And he caught a mosquito and ate it during the shoot. Also, the first picture was taken by my friend from work, Karine. We found that grasshopper just hanging out on her windshield wipers. Enjoy, the pictures still give me the creeps but I LOVE them for some reason.
Also, Aunt Jeanne, if Robert knows what kind of spider it is, and if it's poisonous, I'd love to know!

Training myself.

Colbie Caillat - Falling For You
A home visit...
Friday, July 3, 2009
Yep, that's me front and center in all my 12 year old glory. I still feel like I'm navigating my way through life with no idea what I'm doing, but then I sit and think for a second, and I totally know what I'm doing. I'm 25, I just finished college, and feel like I can do anything I want. It's an amazing feeling to know the world is whatever I make of it.
To completely change the subject, I have a story for you. This weekend I was at Velour in Provo. For those of you who don't know what this place is, it's where you can watch small time bands any day of the week. I have to admit, there are several that impress me a lot with their talents. I was there watching a friend's band and had to run to the bathroom. If you've never been to that bathroom, imagine a toilet with 30 years of the grossest hard water stains/mildew/skidmarks you've ever seen, and then times it by 2. Well, I didn't want to hold my phone while I was in there peeing, so I put it in my back pocket. BAD IDEA... did you know that when you pull up your pants, the phone will fling itsself into the direction of the toilet and attempt to drown itsself in a dramatic suicide? Well, I did. Several times my phone has attempted and missed, but I never learn and put it back there all the time when I need to go. This time, my phone jumped hard enough, and as I buttoned my pants, I heard a *splash*.....
Guess what happened? Yep. My phone landed in the toilet, and nope, I hadn't flushed my pee yet. I sat there for a second wondering if I flushed, if the phone would stay in the bowl and then I could retrieve it. After realizing that was a dumb idea because cell phones are no longer bricks, I did the unthinkable... plug your ears before you read this....
I stuck my hand in that filthy toilet bowl, filled with my pee, and grabbed the dumb thing. I wrapped it in toilet paper, washed my hands, and went back out to the rest of the show. Was it worth it to save my phone? Does it still work, and am I using a pee phone? Nope. My stupid cell phone won't even work now, and I had to buy a new one, even after the amazing rescue I performed. So the moral of this story is... unless you wear JNCO jeans, (I sincerely hope you don't), you need to set your phone on the counter NOT in your back pocket.
And finally, look at the sequence of pictures... do I like cats or what?

Things I've learned.
Thursday, June 11, 2009
- That no matter how smart you are, you can still break your pinky toe by accidentally kicking the couch.
- That my girlfriends are all awesome athletes, and then there's me.
- That my mom was right, I love being able to play the piano. It relieves my stress.
- That making it to 25, unmarried in Provo is probably my greatest accomplishment and I'm so proud of myself right now!
- That any Popsicle flavor mixed with pomegranate will taste delicious.
- That even girls that are thin and flat chested can still be sexually harassed in job interviews.
- That I don't function normally without employment.
- That even though I haven't lived with a cat for years now, I still miss being woken up by my family's cat walking on my legs while I'm in bed.
- That some of the best friends I've ever had came into my life when I needed them most.
- That I will never ever ever stop loving music. It is so important to my life.
- That you can get the flu in June.
- That every guy I've ever been jilted by will eventually feel sorry and apologize for being an idiot to me when we were dating.
- That I will always be happy after I eat a mango mantra smoothie from Jamba Juice.
- That I can do things I never think I can. The only times I've failed is when I didn't try.
- That you can still love someone you're VERY VERY mad at, and hope they are ok.
- That I am a sucker for guys who can be dorks.
- That I will always feel better when a kid smiles at me no matter how my day went.
- That I can talk to nearly anyone.
- And finally.... That I will never stop hating spiders. EVER. EVER!!!!!!
Some latins, and some job interviews.
Wednesday, June 3, 2009
So anyway, we get there and some of her friends are there, and a couple of her really cute latino friends spent the rest of the night teaching me my newfound latin moves! It was great! I've always loved salsa music, and I love mexican food, so I guess it's a given I'd love latin dancing too. I think my dancing friends were just Casanovas, because some of their lines consisted of "Did you used to take ballroom, you seem like a natural!", or after smashing his toes, "No that's my fault, I put my foot under yours." Yeah, and I always say that when someone smashes my foot too. "I apologize for running my face into your fist, I feel horrible for making you punch me."
Also, in other news, I may have found a job. I'm excited! They seem like a fun company, and I start next week. Double thumbs up for me! Not to say my job hunt didn't take forever and have weirdos in it. I mean what's with the old guy still living his high school basketball glory days who after asking if I was single and after I told him what I like to do for fun, then proceeds to eye me up and down and guess audibly if I'm one of "those crazy girls". I'm going to guess his definition of crazy meant freaky (or kinky), which also means I threw up in my mouth and cried inside a little. I'm also going to guess when he achieves something amazing at work he smashes the nearest office nerd into the nearest cubicle wall and yells, "O'DOYLE RULES!", and does the air guitar for an extra effect.
Why do I love her?

I just cracked one of the secrets to life.
Monday, May 11, 2009
So internet, today I just finally solved one of the mysteries of life. What is the answer to that million dollar question? Ok come closer, listen carefully --- I just told a guy I wasn't interested in him when he asked me out, and he thanked me for being honest and treated me nicely afterward.WHAT?!!!?!?
I think I just peed my pants with glee.
Here I thought that you had to let guys down gently, meaning make up excuses until they get the point. I do not say any of this with any arrogance, I have been dumped as much as I've dumped. I have been rejected and know how that feels. I am simply trying to say... I solved a problem I usually create.
I have always known guys say they want honesty, but every time I tried it in the past it ended horribly, which then scared me from trying the honest route ever again. I only previously tried it twice because one guy couldn't handle it, cried his eyes out and told me I was a horrible evil-spirited person which made me feel like the devil and I almost went out with him again because of my guilt. The second proceeded to tell himself I was kidding, and called me everyday for 3 weeks until my friend finally got on the phone and told him I was NOT interested and my 3 weeks of ignored calls should not be mistaken for playing hard to get, they are specifically a loud and clear signal to BACK OFF. Both of these however happened after date one. I had circumstantial evidence showing me why they weren't the guys for me, I wasn't just assuming.
Anyway, back to the current matter. I told him he seemed nice but I was interested in someone else and that I didn't think we should go out. My brain feels scrambled almost. Like this is some amazing never before heard of concept that I have just discovered... HONESTY? You can tell them you're not interested and it won't hurt their feelings? Wow! I think I just saved a couple weeks of dodging phone calls and making up gentle lies. Now that energy can be put to good use, like my never ending homework because I decided to graduate right now.
I think the really great thing is, I saved him a lot of time too and actually may have caused way less damage. He no longer has to wonder about me at all, and now he cannot put me in the category that all girls who make up excuses get put into. Now if I could just learn to do that BEFORE they get my phone number. I still have a hard time saying no to phone number requests when I'm not interested. It's scary looking them in the face and saying "No I'm sorry, I don't want to give it to you, but thank you for the compliment of asking."
Baby Steps.
P.S. Any guy opinions on this will be welcome. I may disagree, but go for it anyway. And please, if at all possible, spare the "you're satan" comments. You still have my permission to think them. :)
On a sunny afternoon.

Utah Lake Pier

Utah Lake
Utah Lake... like glass. Any wake boarders mad they weren't out there?
Nestled in the rocks... right after I shot this a little snake slithered right past the camera. It was such a beautiful day, I'm sad that one day soon I'll be employed again looking out the window sadly wishing I was out there basking in the beautiful sunshine. I guess I should be thankful I'm not employed right now instead of complaining then huh?
I'm being all Pomp and Circumstancey.

This is what happens when you get food poisoning the night before your commencement, puke all night, and then starve yourself before graduation because you don't want to barf in the procession. By the end of the program I was about to eat my leather key chain. I was SO hungry! NOM NOM NOM!I just want to say a quick thank you to my family. My mom, stepdad Sam, and my dad all helped me through college, they paid for my Associate's and helped me whenever I ran into roadblocks. They also spent countless hours on the phone with me helping me grow up! Also a thank you to my Grandparents, and anyone else who has been there and helped me! I love ALL of you. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful and supportive family and friends.
