It's been forever since I blogged. Let's be honest, no one's reading this anymore right?
So last night I am trying to mow my lawn, yes really I tried, and I nearly chopped off my toe laughing so hard at how much I suck at being strong. I will give myself a little credit, the grass was nearly 8 inches tall, and mowers don't love tall grass. But man! I am a weakling. Our front lawn has small hills and when I pushed the mower up those, I'm quite positive I made disgusting grunting sounds really loudly, but I had headphones on so I couldn't tell how loud!
You know the hideous sound guys make when they are lifting a heavy set of weights? This made me start laughing, and then my headphone wire got stuck in the handle bars of the mower and it yanked my iPod out of my back pocket, which catapulted itself toward the mower. AAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhh!
I'm pretty addicted to having portable music, and nearly dove under the mower to grab it. Thank heavens for mowers turning off when you let go of the handle, and for my iPod deciding to fall on the grass instead of go under the chopper blades.
Also, you'll be pleased to know that I was able to dig up help for the rest of the lawn, since I have weak muscles and got tired of pushing that blasted mower! Thank heavens also for 6 ft. 4 in. tall guys who are willing to come help you empty a lawn mower bag loaded with grass, and then see how unstraight your lines are, and how many spots you missed, and can't stop laughing at how bad you suck at mowing the lawn so they finish it themselves.
Where would we girls be without guys like this?
Think about this for a while, and get back to me.
Love,
The smartest dumb blonde there is.

LOL! I still read, well when you post anyways!
ReplyDeleteYour yard sounds like my inlaws, theirs has lots of holes though and the wheels get stuck in them and it was a PAIN to mow it last summer! Especially since my father inlaw refuses to mow a lawn. It was about 1ft tall when I had to do it, and Donavon was in SC and was trying to explain to me how to start it via text messaging. I flooded the engine, finding this out after calling my Dad at work. I finally got it going and it was in the 90s, and I had to dump that stupid bag every 50ft or less. I didnt have a single man come help me :( lucky duck. damsel in distress, way to work it. i was never aloud to mow the lawn as a kid because my dad & bro are anal about straight lines. their lawns look like baseball fields.
Of course I still check in on you! Glad to hear your still having wonderful adventures and making awesomely hilarious memories!
ReplyDeleteLove you too
